Uni-directional Alternating Group Graphs

A class of uni-directional Cayley graphs based on alternating groups is proposed in this paper. It is shown that this class of graphs is strongly connected and recursively scalable. The analysis of the shortest distance between any pair of nodes in a graph of this class is also given. Based on the analysis, we develop a polynomial time routing algorithm which yields a path distance at most one ...

Panpositionable hamiltonicity of the alternating group graphs

The alternating group graph AGn is an interconnection network topology based on the Cayley graph of the alternating group. There are some interesting results concerning the hamiltonicity and the fault tolerant hamiltonicity of the alternating group graphs. In this article, we propose a new concept called panpositionable hamiltonicity. A hamiltonian graph G is panpositionable if for any two diff...

Minimum Tenacity of Toroidal graphs

The tenacity of a graph G, T(G), is dened by T(G) = min{[|S|+τ(G-S)]/[ω(G-S)]}, where the minimum is taken over all vertex cutsets S of G. We dene τ(G - S) to be the number of the vertices in the largest component of the graph G - S, and ω(G - S) be the number of components of G - S.In this paper a lower bound for the tenacity T(G) of a graph with genus γ(G) is obtained using the graph's connec...

Minimum Weight Euclidean Matching and Weighted Relative Neighborhood Graphs

The Minimum Weight Euclidean Matching (MWEM) problem is: given 2n point sites in the plane with Euclidean metric for interpoint distances, match the sites into n pairs so that the sum of the n distances between matched pairs is minimized. The graph theoretic version of this problem has been extensively studied since the pioneering work of Edmonds. The best time bound known for MEWM is O(n 2:5 (...

On common neighborhood graphs II

Let G be a simple graph with vertex set V (G). The common neighborhood graph or congraph of G, denoted by con(G), is a graph with vertex set V (G), in which two vertices are adjacent if and only if they have at least one common neighbor in G. We compute the congraphs of some composite graphs. Using these results, the congraphs of several special graphs are determined.
